I thank You Lord for mum.
Today my mum queued for chicken rice for me for at least a good 15 minutes. It was just a small thing, perhaps, but to me, it was an outward sign of her love, of her sacrifice. I know that my mum and I have never been the best of friends, but we're getting better. I'm starting to love her more and more and appreciate and understand why she does the things that she does. It's funny how age allows you to see things in a different perspective. Or perhaps that was the gift that Mark gave me. I always loved him for that ability to make every problem seem like a blessing. (: And for many other reasons of course but that's in the past now aye? (:

Thank You Lord for teaching and showing me how to love my mummy (:

God I believe in you. (:
Dear Daddy God,

Thank you for always hearing, always being such a large part of my life. Other people may not know, but perhaps, the very reason why I'm still physically alive is because you live in my heart. Yes, because You live in my heart, I will never be drained. When I'm weary, You will lift me up. When I am broken, You mend me. No one can understand how much You've brought me through, led me by the hand, stayed by my side. Only You, oh God, only You.

  God you are my strength.
Oh no I majorly screwed up at work today. Andrea's going to have my head when she finds out that I lost the application form. Oh no not any application form. This one's a special case.. and yes the bottom line is I'm SCREWED.

God, please make the form appear. ):

Daddy God, so good to be Your child. (:
Sometimes I really find it very hard to please my parents. Sometimes we just don't see eye to eye on things, sometimes I'm trying very hard to please but it gets very tiring to keep on keeping on. But everytime I think back on God's encouragement to me through auntie Cathie, I find new strength to carry on. Perhaps, I am starting to comprehend what the Bible means when it said, "The joy of the Lord is my strength." Knowing that honouring my parents pleases God gives me the energy to carry on honouring them. Knowing that God is happy because I'm trying my best just makes my day. Nothing is better than knowing that I can bring a smile to my Best Friend's face. (:

Daddy God, thank you for loving me.

  awesomeness.
the prayer of prophecy for me from auntie cathie:

Thank you Lord, thank you Lord. You're one that blesses your mummy and your daddy. I saw you minister to your mum and your dad. God says, "How sweet that is before Me," says God. You see, those that honour their mother and their father, it will go well with you. It will go well with you! It says, you carry that honour and other young people see you honouring and they hear you speak of your parents, then the anointing! See, sometimes young people speak against their parents, and they don't know that it's killing them. But you carry that to your generation. You'll preach a message that says, "Youth, honour your mother, honour your father, that it may go well with you, because I am the evidence of the power of God to love my parents even though sometimes they don't agree with things." Thank you Lord, thank you Lord.

It was really a spot-on prophecy because I have been struggling with this honour your parents thing and it's been a constant effort. But i really didn't know how aunti Cathie knew about it. Holy Spirit. That's my only conclusion. (:

iSOW is really wonderful. I've not cried out to God like what I did today, at iSOM. God bless auntie Cathie, uncle Brendon, auntie Daphne and auntie Gwen for iSOW and iSOM.

God please keep me in this fire. Don't let it be another high.

  wonderful God.
iSOW has been an awesome experience yet again. I am looking forward to another time of worship, interaction with auntie Cathie and uncle Brendon at 2nd stream on Friday. It just reminds you over and over how awesome is the Father's love for us. And as auntie Cathie puts it, it fills us from the top of our heads to the soles of our feet.

I saw many pictures as I worshipped and enjoyed being in the presence of God. At first, I admit I found it hard to go fully into the worship, because the world has conditioned us into hardening our hearts. But praise God, He let the Holy Spirit to work. I just broke down and cried. Sobbed. Wept. Tears of joy, happiness, sorrow, yearning. All these emotions mixed into one. Now I see why auntie Cathie and uncle Brendon have the strength to keep at this. The energy is from the Holy Spirit, and they enjoy serving the Lord, hence they're never tired of it.

AWESOMENESS. (:

  funny song.
Short people got no reason
Short people got no reason
Short people got no reason
To live

They got little hands
And little eyes
And they walk around
Tellin' great big lies
They got little noses
And tiny little teeth
They wear platform shoes
On their nasty little feet

Well, I don't want no short people
Don't want no short people
Don't want no short people
Round here

Short people are just the same
As you and I
(A fool such as I)
All men are brothers
Until the day they die
(It's a wonderful world)

Short people got nobody
Short people got nobody
Short people got nobody
To love

They got little baby legs
And they stand so low
You got to pick 'em up
Just to say hello
They got little cars
That got beep, beep, beep
They got little voices
Goin' peep, peep, peep
They got grubby little fingers
And dirty little minds
They're gonna get you every time
Well, I don't want no short people
Don't want no short people
Don't want no short people
'Round here

  part II
Firstly, CONGRATULATIONS RECRUIT TENGJIN! heehee. You're now.. a private I presume. (:

I really don't know how Jo Yi is going to react when I tell her I don't think I can come in for next week. Yes, the whole week. I've got to bring my church kids for iSOW training at PLMC, and go for the trainings myself on other days. So that takes up just about the whole week. Or maybe I'm free on Thursday, I really don't know. I've got a feeling she's not going to be happy and try to make me come back more. The interview folders are really lagging, and now that I've scheduled the interviews, I need to get the submissions ready.

And I really feel bad about leaving Jesline to all those 54 horrible PRCs and checking their certificates and qualifications. Sorry babe, but I already blocked out today. Hope you and Chelvi do alright. And hopefully Yvette came down today. (:

When you start using words like "submissons" and "bosses" and "kids", you know that you're growing. OLDER.

So basically my day is quite packed with 'to-do's, photocopying and certifying my secondary and junior college certificates [not cer-fi-ti-cates, jesline, heeheehee] and going for AJ's CCA carnival to support my juniors and making sure everything runs alright and catching up with teachers and friends. And as for dinner, I'm not too sure, cos I'm supposed to meet the uthcellers at marina for a farewell-all-the-best dinner for dear stu-ey. Here's the catch: it's all the way at MARINA and what else is there but STEAMBOAT [not my favourite meal] and it's with the SAJC BAND PEOPLE. oh man. Three reasons not to go.

Did I ever mention that I'm lazy?

I know, I know, we shouldn't be slothful, and I'm trying, I really am. Well, just gimme a break for this one. (:

  Jumbled Up Thoughts.
Right now, I'm waiting up for my brother to come home. Aye, ain't I just the perfect lil younger sister? Heeeheee.

But at the same time, I'm also taking this oportunity to think about stuffs. These few nights have been rather hectic, yet boring. My mommy constantly nags at me to fill in my application forms for university entry and also for scholarships. Frankly, I really don't think my results are all that fantastic to qualify for the scholarship. But oh well, for the sake of peace at home, I'll do it, even though every part of me screams out in procrastination. Of course I must admit mommy has seldom mis-judged things, so the triumphant I-told-you-so look that she'll flash if I don't do as she says and things go awry will be more than I can bear, so better get down to filling up those blank applications with my scrawly handwriting.

Work has somehow slowly sapped life out of me. Sure, I'm really enjoying what I do in the office. But after all is said and done, the workload is sometimes too heavy to bear. Every now and then I get assignments that are labelled as URGENT. Well if you label everything as URGENT, then the word loses its meaning does it not? And the Chinese teachers can be very demanding, some even asking, no, exacting a change in school placement. Look, even if we wanted to help you, it isn't within our power. Even cool-as-a-cucumber Jo Yi also got rather cheesed off. Slowly, I'm learning how to survive in the outside world. It's not easy. Not at all.

Today I met a teacher of mine from secondary school. I've seen her around MOE several times now, and she forgot my name. Well, I can't really blame her. I mean, after several batches of students, it definitely is hard to remember everyone's names. I do get that problem sometimes too. Anyhows, this made me think how insignificant we are. Sometimes I feel like I'm just another walking statistic. Yet another faceless person. It's scary how easily forgotten we are sometimes, and if we do not make that lasting impression on others, that's it. We're conveniently forgotten. In the light of all these, words like "keep in touch" somehow seem just like formalities. We have forgotten the essence of humans - we were made as people persons.

Okay, my brother is back, that means it's bed time. I still have a lot of jumbled up thoughts. Nothing can rival sleep. I'm KLUTZ, checking out.

  i was just thinking...
hey uthcell! i think without you guys, my life would have a lot less colour. (: we're such a tightly knit cell. well.. that could work for us, or against us. we build each other up because of the strong support from the rest of us. at the same time, newcomers may find it hard to break into our circle. well, it happened for me once upon a time, and i nearly gave up. but thank God i did not, cos i found myself a great bunch of friends. but others may not be as persevering as me, and they may not think the same way as me. oh wells.

i'm oh-so-glad cos my brother is FINALLY back after 1 month in thailand. words cannot express this happiness. heehee. (:

ajchoir's been a huge part of my life. my greatest friends were found in choir, where we really stuck through thick and thin together. the saying's right [as it always has been], that we grow closer after we've been through fire together. jely and boyfriends and exboyfriends of jely, you all are the best. plus alison of course. heehee. though you're not in jely, you're just like one of us. heeheeeeee.

liru, sarah and jingyi, plus jasper. we've been buddies in class for like.. a long long time. let's not let time and distance seperate us yeah. i know it's gonna take a lot of effort, but yeah. that's what friends are for right, to be there for one another. (:

and choo yingtong you really corrupted me last night! argharghargh. haha. now i can't stop thinking about noses. and i still feel very bad about the 'pimple' thing i said. =l oh wells. that's me, shooting my mouth off.
